I’ve been thinking about my first week in practicum. Being in my work place makes navigating the fine line between student and colleague very difficult. There are times where I forget that I’m a student and neglect to communicate my intentions effectively. This is something I’m actively choosing to be more mindful of going through the rest of practicum.

Communicating intentions is a useful tool to have in the field of Education. It helps others to understand why you’re implementing things that you are. It promotes healthy work relationships, and will continue to benefit me even outside of the workplace.

I am posting this here so that my mento educators can follow me through my journey of self reflection.

UPDATE: I have been relocated to a space that isn’t my workplace to allow for better learning opportunities.
